Defect Inspection
Injection line
5 inspection items, each with a figure you can track
Product presence, hole count, cycle time, part quantity, and the weight display, checked from the camera feed. Each verdict is OK, NG, or NR and is recorded with its confidence score.
What the camera checks on an injection line
Five items, one line. Each is a single judgment on the parts coming out of the machine, and each produces a figure that is listed in the table below.
- 01
Product Presence Check
Confirms that a part is actually on the carrier or in the fixture before the line moves on, so an empty position is caught instead of passed along.
- Judgment
- Part presence
- 02
Hole Inspection
Counts the holes in each molded part and checks the number against the reference, catching holes that are blocked, missing, or not fully formed.
- Judgment
- Hole count verification
- 03
Cycle Time
Measures the interval between one shot and the next from the camera feed and records it for every cycle, so drift shows up as it happens.
- Judgment
- Cycle time measurement
- 04
Quantity Inspection
Counts the parts in each shot or each tray and flags a count that does not match the expected number.
- Judgment
- Part counting
- 05
Weight Inspection
Reads the figure on the scale display with OCR and checks it against the tolerance band for the part.
- Judgment
- Weight display verification
Injection line
The figures each item reports
Every rate is tracked per item, so a change on the line shows up in the number before it shows up in the scrap bin.
- Detection rate
- Share of parts that were present and were detected as present
- Missed detection rate
- Share of parts that were present but were not detected
- Hole counting accuracy
- Share of parts whose counted holes matched the reference
- False judgment rate
- Share of parts given a verdict that did not match the actual state
- N/A
- Reported as the measured time; no rate applies
- Counting accuracy
- Share of counts that matched the actual number of parts
- OCR accuracy
- Share of weight readings taken from the display correctly
- Out-of-tolerance detection rate
- Share of out-of-tolerance weights that were caught
N/A: cycle time is reported as the measured value itself. No rate or accuracy figure applies.
What goes on the line
Three products cover an injection line. Each links to its own page with the full specifications.
- 01Vision CameraCaptures the parts at the outlet or on the fixture. A 2 MP global-shutter camera over GigE.
- 02Lenses and AccessoriesA 12 mm lens and lighting matched to the working distance, so holes and display digits stay legible.
- 03Vision ControllerRuns inference on the site server, records OK, NG, and NR with confidence scores, and shows the counts in a browser.
