Behavior Analysis
Gearbox assembly line
8 checks on assembly work, each with a figure you can track
Part presence, skipped steps, orientation, LH/RH parts, fasteners, pads, cycle time, and part quantity, read from the camera feed as the operator works. Each verdict is OK, NG, or NR and is recorded with its confidence score.
What the camera checks on an assembly line
Eight items, one station. Each is a single judgment on the work in front of the operator, and each produces a figure that is listed in the table below.
- 01
Part Presence Check
Confirms that the part is actually in the fixture or at the station before the step is counted as done, so an empty position is caught instead of passed along.
- Judgment
- Part presence
- 02
Process Omission Check
Follows the sequence of assembly steps in the feed and flags a step that was skipped or left unfinished before the next one began.
- Judgment
- Process completion verification
- 03
Orientation Check
Checks that the part was placed the right way round, front to rear and left to right, before it is fastened.
- Judgment
- Front/rear, left/right orientation
- 04
Left/Right Part Verification
Tells left-hand and right-hand parts apart and confirms that the one on the fixture is the one the current unit calls for.
- Judgment
- LH/RH identification
- 05
Bolt/Nut/Screw/Clip Inspection
Confirms that every bolt, nut, screw, and clip is in place at the end of the step, and reports the position of any that is missing.
- Judgment
- Fastener presence
- 06
Pad Inspection
Confirms that the pad is installed and that its front/rear and left/right orientation matches the reference.
- Judgment
- Pad installed in the correct orientation
- 07
Cycle Time
Measures the time from the start of one unit to the start of the next from the camera feed and records it for every cycle, so drift shows up as it happens.
- Judgment
- Cycle time measurement
- 08
Quantity Inspection
Counts the parts in the tray or on the fixture and flags a count that does not match the expected number.
- Judgment
- Part counting

The figures each item reports
Every rate is tracked per item, so a change at the station shows up in the number before it shows up as rework.
- Detection rate
- Share of parts that were present and were detected as present
- Missed detection rate
- Share of parts that were present but were not detected
- False reject rate
- Share of parts that were present but were judged missing
- Omission detection rate
- Share of skipped steps that were caught
- Missed omission detection rate
- Share of skipped steps that were not caught
- Accuracy
- Share of parts whose orientation was judged correctly
- Detection rate
- Share of parts correctly identified as left-hand or right-hand
- Detection rate
- Share of fasteners that were in place and were detected
- Missing fastener detection rate
- Share of missing fasteners that were caught
- False judgment rate
- Share of fasteners given a verdict that did not match the actual state
- Detection rate
- Share of installed pads that were detected
- Front/rear, left/right orientation
- Share of pads whose front/rear and left/right orientation matched the reference
- N/A
- Reported as the measured time; no rate applies
- Counting accuracy
- Share of counts that matched the actual number of parts
N/A: cycle time is reported as the measured value itself. No rate or accuracy figure applies.
What goes on the line
Three products cover an assembly station. Each links to its own page with the full specifications.
- 01Vision CameraCaptures the fixture and the operator's hands from above the station. A 2 MP global-shutter camera over GigE.
- 02Lenses and AccessoriesA lens and lighting matched to the working distance over the fixture, so fasteners and small parts stay legible.
- 03Vision ControllerRuns inference on the site server, records OK, NG, and NR with confidence scores, and shows the counts in a browser.
